We spent the day in Salem and learned about the city’s maritime history, pirate history, and witch history. We did not learn anything about this guy, who is not a witch. He is Roger Conant, founder of Salem. I turned to Wikipedia to learn about him.

Distant Viewing
My 18 miles (which was really 19.22 – holy cow!) today took me through Blue Hills Reservation with an unintentional detour to Wood Rd and Barnes and Noble, for those of you familiar with the area. The unintentional detour meant that I made it to the Chicatawbut Overlook right at lunch time (PB & banana sandwich). Despite the haze, it was nice to have a good view while I rested and ate…and of COURSE the camera came out! Bigger is way better, so click the photo to enlarge.

Barcalounging Kitty
Pete took this picture because he thought it looked like Champ was using his running shoes like a barcalounger. She was asleep until he started taking pictures. Is she not HUGE now? Her tail is now longer than her whole self was when we first found her!
