I always empty my change into this cute little cow bank that Pete gave me way back when, and lately it’s been so full that I’ve had to shove and shake to get the coins to go in. I sat down to watch Gossip Girl and thought it would be a good time to start rolling. Turns out that there was $2.50 in pennies in there that were taking up the most space – because I was out of penny rolls! There was another $12 of silver, so when I took that to the bank I picked up penny rolls. I think the cow is ready to be fed again!

This spot next to the TV is one of the only places in our apartment that gets direct sun in the afternoon, and the cats took some turns hanging out there throughout the weekend. It works out well if you’re sitting on the right side of the couch and need something to stop the glare from bouncing off the media console while you play Kung Fu Panda.

If Barley is already standing on the ledge when someone is going up the stairs, this is what he does. I like to give him kisses, because he’ll stick his little face right in yours if you stop as you pass him. He’s a bit of a goof.

We put up our Christmas tree at home last night. It was a true team effort – I put the tree up, Pete hung the ornament. The disadvantage to living in a very awesome studio loft located in the former attic storage space of what used to be a chocolate factory? Having too little square footage and eaves under which you cannot put an actual Christmas tree. Last year I found this guy 50% off after Christmas and thought he was the perfect solution. Which he is.
Please ignore the fact that while my computer and school stuff is spread on the table behind the Christmas tree, I’m actually taking, editing, and posting photos instead of working on my paper and/or reviewing for my final.

The awesome and lovely Liza tipped us off to a great deal on Guitar Hero – $30 for the guitar and the Legends of Rock game – so we promptly ordered it…and it arrived today! Pete’s band is named Scruff, and I think he played so much that he’s already beat the game.
