I can make shit!

Holy crap! I actually made something! This little bowl?! Yeah, I made it.

I have phases when I want to be crafty, and I try crocheting something (usually a scarf, because I always thought that seemed like the easiest thing to make) and never finish. Not this weekend, folks! Lately the crafting urge has been out of control, and this weekend I spent a lot of time browsing crafting and crochet sites and blogs and finding patterns of things I’d like to make. I thought I should start with something simple, and I found the pattern for this bowl. It’s not perfect (not even close, actually), but it’s pretty dang cute and I love it. I felted it after I made it, although just barely because that’s something that may be just beyond my crafting skills. At least for now!

Now I just need to decide what to do with the bowl!

Ministack

Long overdue! I backed up, erased, and reformatted my hard drive today. Don’t those candles burning in the background make for pretty bokeh?

Pete and I went to Fajitas & ‘Ritas for lunch before seeing Defiance. Fajitas & ‘Ritas is okay – cheap and fast. The salsa was yummy, the quesadillas were okay.

Working on my night moves

I was headed downtown for a happy hour and playing with my camera while I waited for the train. What is that greenish light blob that shows up whenever I take night shots with my new lens?!

One of the blogs that I read regularly talked about tips for sticking with a photo a day project. It said that you should take one photo in the morning, because the day will get away from you and it may be the only picture you take. I did take another picture this day, but this is the one you get to see.
